What I’m Doing Now

This is a now page. It’s a snapshot of what’s going on in my life right now.

The Day Job

I’m VP of Paid Media and Performance Marketing at Horizon Media. Day to day, that means I’m deep in platform mechanics, performance strategy, and figuring out what actually drives results for brands across TikTok, Meta, Reddit, Google, YouTube, Pinterest, Trade Desk, and CTV.

Right now I lead advertising and media programs for Sphere Las Vegas, Madison Square Garden (Knicks, Rangers, Rockettes), and Capital One’s social ads practice. Every platform has its own dynamics, and I spend a lot of time studying how those dynamics shift.

The big thing on my mind lately is Reddit. I wrote about why I think Reddit will dominate as the crown jewel of the anti-AI economy. People go there for real, authentic human content. Google and ChatGPT need Reddit, not the other way around. That power dynamic is something most people in the industry haven’t fully grasped yet.

I’ve also been thinking a lot about where TV screens fit in the media landscape. CTV advertising continues to be one of the most undervalued opportunities out there. The data on YouTube TV screen views compared to mobile is staggering. I made the case for why Meta should buy Roku to close that gap, and I still stand by it.

And then there’s the Pinterest problem. AI-generated content is flooding the platform, and as someone who loved Pinterest during peak COVID, it’s been hard to watch. Static content is cheaper to fake than video, and that makes Pinterest uniquely vulnerable.

Kansas City Life

I still live in the suburbs of Kansas City with my wife and two kids. We moved here during COVID and never left. We love it here.

Although my work is centered in New York, Kansas City has become home in the best way. The pace is different, the space is different, and it’s been a great place to raise a family.

I’ve also been getting to more live shows. 2025 was a big year for theater for me. I wrote about my top theater moments from last year, and the biggest takeaway was that the gap in quality between NYC and non-NYC productions is nonexistent. You can be amazed anywhere. “Circle of Life” in The Lion King remains the greatest single song achievement of any show, full stop.
